RUSSIA: MAKING CONNECTIONS - A Program of The Ambassador Alexandr A. Razvin Trust for Russian American Understanding.

From August 4-15, 2010, Russia: Making Connections is offering a travel opportunity based on the theme of peace through the arts and cultural understanding. "Russia: A Journey of Peace," is a thirteen day institute which enables participants to connect with "real" Russian people who can offer an intimate, first-hand look at their astounding country.

For this special program, RMC has joined forces with the Nicholas Roerich Museum in New York City to offer participants an opportunity to examine the role of the arts and culture as vehicles toward world peace. Helping nations to understand the urgent need for peace was an overarching goal in the lives of Ambassador Alexandr A. Razvin and Nicholas Roerich. This was their commitment and each, in his own way, made significant contributions to the peace effort, tolerance and global understanding.

The Ambassador Alexandr A. Razvin Trust for Russian American Understanding(www.RazvinTrust.org) was created to honor the memory of Alexandr A. Razvin, the eminent Russian statesman who, above all else, worked to engender peace and understanding between Russians and citizens of other countries, especially the United States.

In an effort to expand its mission and to meet the goals which Ambassador Razvin set for himself during his too-brief lifetime, The Ambassador Alexandr A. Razvin Trust for Russian American Understanding offers thematic, custom-designed opportunities and events under the aegis of its program, Russia: Making Connections. RMC engages Russians and program participants in a broad range of activities which nurture understanding of Russian people, their history and their culture.
