MISSION / TRAVEL PROGRAMS

The Mission of Russia: Making Connections (RMC) is inspired by Ambassador Razvin’s belief that the best way to know and understand a country is through its people.

RMC programs are designed for those who wish to encounter “real” Russians and engage with them in meaningful dialogue. Regardless of the topic - the arts, culture, history, contemporary society or politics - these encounters are thought-provoking and stimulating and result in vivid, lasting impressions of a most amazing country, Russia.

Our thematic programs within and around St. Petersburg and Moscow are unique because:

* They are led by scholars who have spent their lives in pursuit of knowledge and understanding;

* They include historic and artistically notable sites – palaces, cathedrals, museums, parks, etc. – and opportunities to learn
    about the people and events who made them significant;

* They include performances and visits to “by-invitation-only” collections and events;

* They provide you, the traveler, with the time and opportunity to become immersed in Russian art, history and culture –
    with freedom to explore these on your own, should you so desire.

Winston Churchill characterized Russia as “… a riddle wrapped in a mystery inside an enigma." Our goal is to ensure that your experience of Russia is as rich, intriguing, expansive and thought-provoking as the country itself.
